About Us

Cochran Helps was founded with the goal of supporting individuals with mental health challenges, but we quickly realized that many members of our community face a wide range of needs. Since serving our first client in June 2025, we’ve grown into a dedicated team committed to making a meaningful difference in Cochran and Bleckley County.

Our organization is guided by a five-member board with diverse backgrounds and a wealth of life and professional experience. Our Executive Director brings hands-on mental health experience and a deep passion for helping others, supported by a group of committed volunteers who share our mission of care and compassion.

We provide a variety of services, including assistance with food, utility bills, paperwork, referrals, and other basic needs. Through both direct support and innovative community programs, like our crowdsourcing initiatives for families in need, we strive to create a more connected, self-sufficient, and resilient community.

At Cochran Helps, we believe that even small acts of assistance can make a big impact. We look forward to continuing to serve, support, and uplift our neighbors in every way we can.
